{"id":704,"date":"2021-10-12T12:21:44","date_gmt":"2021-10-12T16:21:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.stewardshipworks.org\/blog\/?p=704"},"modified":"2021-10-12T12:21:44","modified_gmt":"2021-10-12T16:21:44","slug":"we-believe-that-giving-is-collaborative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stewardshipworks.org\/blog\/?p=704","title":{"rendered":"We Believe\u2026 That Giving is Collaborative"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As we continue to reflect on another of the six statements of belief that guide our actions at the Stewardship Foundation, we explore Credo #2:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">We believe\u2026\u00a0<br>that giving is a collaborative act\u00a0<br>between the donor, the charity, and their God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a 501(c)(3) investment ministry that provides charitable organizations both legacy and endowment opportunities for gift planning, the phrase \u201ccollaborative act\u201d implies doing (not just thinking), working (but not alone) and accomplishing (with others) to produce or create something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"317\" height=\"428\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stewardshipworks.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/2021_Parable-of-the-Talents.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-705 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.stewardshipworks.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/2021_Parable-of-the-Talents.jpg 317w, https:\/\/www.stewardshipworks.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/2021_Parable-of-the-Talents-222x300.jpg 222w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 317px) 100vw, 317px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>Some might call the work that we do with nonprofits \u201cteamwork\u201d \u2014 and it is! Ecclesiastes 9 tells us, \u201cTwo are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor.\u201d When our advisors and charities work together, we get much more done and accomplish more.<br><br>Our mission is to advise and support <em>strategic plans <\/em>that will motivate donors to give generously. We often smile when we think of the Bible verse \u201cEach one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.\u201d&nbsp;(2 Cor 9:7)<br><br>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/bible.usccb.org\/bible\/matthew\/25\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Parable of the Talents<\/a>, we discover that we should never cling to our money, but invest it liberally so that it increases the good that it does 100-fold. In fact, our #2 Credo keeps us on track as faithful stewards described in the Bible.
